In floor action tonight, the Senate amended and approved SF 159, Governor's School Choice Omnibus bill, on a vote of 26-21 with two senators excused. See this updated Call to Action for key details of the amendment, revised talking points, and directions to reach out to House members, asking for them to oppose SF 159 which includes vouchers, charter schools, and eliminates the ability of school districts with voluntary diversity plans to regulate open enrollment.

The Governor's Education Plan, SF 159, is scheduled for consideration in the Senate Ways and Means Committee at 11:30 on January 26, 2021. HSB 64 Diversity Plans and HF 103 Instructional Time are on the House Education Committee agenda scheduled to reconvene at 8:30 on January 26, 2021.
