Action on school funding occurred today in both the Senate and the House. House Democrats have called for a public hearing, scheduled for this Thursday morning at 11 a.m. With challenging weather ahead, we are encouraging people to leave written comments which go into the record of the Public Hearing. SF 251 was approved by the Senate during the 2023 Legislative Session but died in the House Education Committee last year. A subcommittee was assigned this week, which may indicate the House Education Committee’s willingness to move the bill forward, though we are registered opposed. Reach out to Education Committee members to share concerns.
